Tel Aviv  Restaurants for Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and Tel Aviv restaurants are well aware of it! Pick a style among places to eat in Tel Aviv and enjoy the morning energy boost!

Benedict – All-American, All Day

Benedict is perhaps the most famous breakfast spot in town and one of the best places to eat in Tel Aviv. Super friendly and with that sweet American vibe, it gave us high standards for all Tel Aviv restaurants. Their eggs Benedict and fresh juices were superb, as was the atmosphere. This is the perfect spot for breakfast lovers, as it’s served all day. Keep in mind it’s popular, so there might be a queue!

Frenching It Up @ Da Da & Da

Da Da & Da has a to-the-point concept: French. Resembling a Parisian bistro, it’s located under the local institut français in Rothschild Avenue. Its cute and stylish outdoor café tables will transport you to the Seine. Here we had breakfast at the bar, and loved the friendly bartenders. Unmissable among places to eat in Tel Aviv!

Tel Aviv Lunch

For places to eat in Tel Aviv, there are plenty of lunch options near the beach, some better than others. Below are my two favorite Tel Aviv restaurants for the afternoon by the beach!

Eat & Drink with Sand Between Your Toes at Gazoz

1. Food: 4

2. Drinks: 4

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 3

5. Service: 4

Gazoz is a relatively new kid among beachy places to eat in Tel Aviv, and a fine addition! A favorite of mine among places to eat in Tel Aviv and a nice spot for warm afternoons, the atmosphere is lovely. The restaurant was full of happy people enjoying the music and view. Sweet and relaxed, the food is fresh and the wine, delicious. Nothing fancy, just straight-up vacay vibes!

Calypso – Party Prep by the Beach

1. Food: 4

2. Drinks: 3

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 3

5. Service: 4

Calypso is similar to Gazoz but with a more party-like frame of mind. As far as Tel Aviv restaurants go, this is among the hottest! Great food and a not-so-great wine menu, it’s a good place to start a night of partying. The inside is relatively big, with open windows.

Tel Aviv Dinner

Life beyond delicious Israeli food is possible on many places to eat in Tel Aviv. My recommendations:

M25 – A Meaty Hole-in-the-Wall

1. Food: 5

2. Drinks: 4

3. Atmosphere: 5

4. Design: 3

5. Service: 4

Right in Carmel Market, M25 was simple and amazing. Specializing in meat, it’s a simple eatery without a lot of thought put into the design. Just some chairs and tables in an old industrial setting, all very rustic. However, the food and atmosphere put it among the best places to eat in Tel Aviv! Heaven for meat lovers!!!

Shiratoya – A new Japanese in Town

5. Service 4

Shiratoya is a relatively new Japanese in town with cool design and great Japanese food! The sushi was great and so was the sake! Relaxed vibe and great and friendly service.A small hip eatery with a strong concept. An oasis in bustling Tel Aviv!

After the dinner a drink at Brown TVL Urban hotel – a super chic rooftop is highly recommended. For a long nighter continue to  Zoo Zoo for some great drink in a luxury setting!

Beccafico – An Italian Gem in Cute Shabazi Area

1. Food 4

2. Drinks 4

3. Atmosphere 4

4. Design 3

5. Service 4

Beccafico is a true Italian gem among places to eat in Tel Aviv in the cozy Shabazi area, one of my favorite areas. A small eatery with a cozy backyard, delicious Italian food and great friendly service. You will feel at home here the minute you enter! Their burrata pizza and pasta were so tasty and they also had a great assortment of great wines!

Other recommendations…

Bograshov Street is a foodie paradise, and we heard a lot about Thai House and Mexicana around that area. While we didn’t try them, our friends widely recommended both places. Plus, both are close to the beach!

Jaffa for Lunch & Dinner

Among the oldest ports in the world, Jaffa has a kind of charm unlike the rest of Tel Aviv. And that applies to eateries, too!

Café Puaa – From Furniture Store to Hippie Café

1. Food: 5

2. Drinks: 4

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 5

5. Service: 4

Truly unique, Café Puaa was turned into a café after being a furniture store. Broad and open, it has an exquisite boho-chic feel. It’s very popular, always buzzing with eclectic people. The food is delish and locally sourced, with lots of vegan options! One of the coolest places to eat in Tel Aviv!

Onza – Turkish Evening Delight

1. Food: 4

2. Drinks: 3

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 3

5. Service: 5

A fancy bar with fantastic Turkish flavors, Onza has one of the coolest atmospheres in Tel Aviv and is one of the most popular places to eat in Tel Aviv. Located in a small Jaffa alley, you wouldn’t even know it’s there unless instructed. Loved the party vibe and happy people. Plus, the service was super friendly!

Local Cuisine at The Old Man and the Sea

1. Food: 4

2. Drinks: 3

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 3

5. Service: 4

The Old Man and the Sea is a Jaffa classic! Serving generous portions, you won’t leave this place hungry. The décor is fairly simple, in an industrial building by the harbor with a huge outdoor seating area. The flavors are local and varied, so it’s a great place to sink your teeth into Israeli cuisine. The port atmosphere is spectacular!

Here’s definitely something for everyone

If you do not want to go home, head to Ramesses for a drink or two. The perfect place for some drinks or two and I am sure the food here is great too! Loved to end our nights here before heading home!
