FB Instagram Youtube Top 6 Rooftops in Moscow - Dine & Drink Among the Clouds

Big cities have a certain quality that makes them unique, only united by impressive skylines. Russia’s capital should be viewed from above. Some of the best places to eat in Moscow stand among the clouds. Look down and enjoy the vibe of some of the best restaurants in Moscow.

Keep in mind that the best rooftop restaurants in Moscow are popular, so book ahead and make sure to dress up as some of them are a bit picky in terms of dress code!

And don’t forget to read my other Moscow restaurant reviews, including my hipster, international and breakfast eateries reviews!

Best Rooftop Restaurants in Moscow

1. White Rabbit – Russian Fine Dining All the Way to the White List

1. Food: 5

2. Drinks: 5

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 5

5. Service: 4

One of the best places to eat in Moscow, White Rabbit is co-owned by famous chef Vladimir Mukhin. The menu is upscale Russian plus international cuisine, and the wine list is exquisite!

Best Table Massive Oval Window - Moscow
The Best Table…

On a 16th floor, the massive oval window here is impressive, and you should ask for a table by the glass dome. Their outdoor terrace isn’t quite as beautiful.

The décor is Russian luxurious, so a little kitsch: broad, beautiful and with chaises emulating Saint Basil’s Cathedral’s colors. I love the design’s mix of traditional and modern!

2. Ruski – Russian Luxury High Among the Clouds!

1. Food: 4

2. Drinks: 4

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 4

5. Service: 4

Ruski is located in a skyscraper in a Moscow City, at the 85th floor. It’s one of the coolest rooftop restaurants in Moscow, and I dare to say throughout Europe! The combination of design and unmatchable view will leave you breathless. This place offers Russian luxury mixed with innovation. Ask for a private table, in a small lounge facing the windows.

The amazing atmosphere at Ruski

Elegance and classy all in one

The food makes it one of the best restaurants in Moscow, mixing traditional Russian cuisine with other regional flavors. The pelemenis, blinis and beef stroganof are all top notch and so is the service.

Drop by the restaurant’s bar and try auteur cocktails, and some people-watching and if you are up for some Russian cold, a vodka or two in the ice bar is a must.

3. Sixty – Party Among the Stars!

1. Food: 3

2. Drinks: 4

3. Atmosphere: 5

4. Design: 4

5. Service: 4

Sixty offers another magical Moscow City view.

Magical City View - Moscow

Dark and stylish with contemporary furniture and  natural elements, it’s far more relaxed than Ruski and a good place to start an evening out. Every hour, they open up the windows, providing perfect photo ops! The view offers Moscow City from one side and a magical sunset from the other. Hard to choose but I recommend to ask for a table at the Moscow side part.

Moscow Sunset

The menu is international with a mix of dishes and the wine list is long. The quality of the food varies a bit but if I can highly recommend the wasabi shrimps, the tuna and why not end with a cinnamon creme brulee. The service is great and this place will keep you full of energy all night long with all happenings.

4. O2 – The Best Red Square View!

1. Food: 3

2. Drinks: 3

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 3

5. Service: 3

Drop by the Ritz Carlton and find the jet set vibe in the O2 lounge! Not really one of the best places to eat in Moscow, but the view balances it. This is for sure the best view of Moscow city centre.

Best View of the Red Square - Moscow
The Best View of the Red Square from on Top of Ritz Carlton!

Entering the Ritz Carlton you enter a world of luxury, even the ladies room is worth a visit!

Take the elevator to the top floor and find a magic view of this impressive city. The prices reflects the name of the hotel but you can always just grab a coffe or a drink to enjoy the view for a while. Lunch time or evening time, the view and vibe is as good and the perfect spot for some rest after a long day at Moscow’s most precious hood around the red square!

5. Buono – Romantic Italian Over Pure Luxury

1. Food: 5

2. Drinks: 4

3. Atmosphere: 5

4. Design: 4

5. Service: 5

An Italian restaurant above the Radisson Royal Hotel, Buono is the most romantic one among the rooftop scenery in Moscow. Candlelit dinner by the stars, with an incredible wine list and fantastic service. Whether dining or drinking, it’s perfect for couples!

Dinner at Bueno

The food is as good as the atmosphere and the truffle pasta served in a big parmensan cheese will make your evening for sure!

You can read my Radisson Royal Review to find out why this hotel is a great choice of accommodation for a trip to Moscow.

6. Sky Lounge – Where Communism and Futurism Meet

1. Food: 3

2. Drinks: 3

3. Atmosphere: 4

4. Design: 4

5. Service: 4

Among the best places to eat in Moscow, Sky Lounge has a very particular feel to it. Located on a building mixing Soviet architecture with futuristic copper, no other place looks like this. Going here is an experience in itself, more due to the vibe and specifics of the place than the food as such.

Sky Lounge - Moscow
A Unique Creation with a Fab View!

The seafood is great, but it’s best to drop by for a drink. It’s around Gorky Park, so great if visiting the area. You’ll get a unique view of Moscow here, opposite side of what you get from Ruski and Sixty. The terrace is great for summer evenings.

Roof topping is a must in Moscow. This city deserves to be seen from above and a dinner among the cloud is something that will stay in your memory for a long time!
