Living in Moscow
It is hard to keep up with all new places and restaurants in Moscow and luckily there is a lot of new openings in our neighborhood! Just a five minute walk from our apartment, along the river, a couple of new cafes and restaurants have opened. The arty Cafe Benedict has become one of our favorite breakfast and brunch place. Their avocado toasts and Egg Benedict with pancake as the base is a perfect way to start the weekend! And of course you need to try out some of the delicious hot fruit drinks – a Russian speciality!
Just across the river, located on one of the few islands in the Moscow river, is Red October. A popular place among the cool and hip young Moscovites, full of small roof tops, cafés and restaurants and of course some graffiti! This is also where one of the most popular clubs in Moscow is located – Gipsy – and where the party never ends!
When the terrace of Strelka opens, then you know it is summer in Moscow – or at least it is supposed to be!
This little terrace is our absolute favorite hang out place for summer evenings. Just next to the Moscow River and with Christ the Savor Cathedral on the other side, you can easily let some hours pass by enjoying the sunset, the mozzarella bar and a glass of rosé! Even though it was a bit cold this weekend, it was time for the inauguration!
To get inspiration, Art Play is another place to visit. Located 15 minutes from the city center in an old industrial area, it has a uniue character. Colorful buildings, graffiti, interior boutiques, vegan cafés & exhibitions fills the court yards! You will for sure leave this place full of inspiration and the photo exhibitions are just awsome!
