Travel With A Silver Lining cares about your data protection! Here is an outline of data collected by us!
What personal information do we collect from people that visit this blog and why?
We collect non identifiable data such as browser information in order for us to see website statistics – such as which country you are from and what operating system. We use your data to run my site efficiently and to personalise user experience.
How do we protect your information?
We never ask for credit card numbers or payment details. Your browser information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of people who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters or submits their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.
When visitors leave comments on the website we collect the data shown in the comment form, the visitors IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. You can choose to be notified for follow-up comments by email when you leave a comment. These things are optional and only you can opt in.
Embedded content from other websites
Third Party Plug Ins
This site uses Google Analytics to collect information such as details of traffic and visitor behaviour patterns. You can opt out by using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser add on. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Website back up
We back up the website regularly including all comments and personal data attached.
Do I share data?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information unless required to do so by law.
How long do I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
