The Moscow Weekend Vlog Starts Now!

Episode? Yes it is correct. It is time for our fist Vlog series.  About what? Well, about our life in Moscow!

When moving to Moscow, the reaction was WHAT & WHY? Maybe not so strange. Moscow is a city like no other and it was not even on my travel list before I moved here. 2 years later and here we are, having created an exciting life in this huge city… So we will share some bits and pieces of our Moscow life with you! We hope you will enjoy it!

For the ones still preferring the blog, we will still write about our Moscow Life too!

A “biky” Weekend – Things to do in Moscow – Moscow weekend

Finally, a weekend in Moscow. Together!

It has been a lot of traveling lately and in these times, a weekend at home is just the best! This one turned out to be a great one! It all started with the bikes. Fredrik has been talking about buying bikes for a long time. There is so much to see and explore in Moscow but you do not come far by foot. But now we are ready to explore Moscow with our bikes!

The first ride was so cool. It honestly felt a bit like a new city.  The wind in your hair, the freedom feeling and I am head over heel in love with my pink little beauty! Moscow is not the most bike friendly city, even though they have done a lot of improvements by bike lanes and wide pavements, and the never ending reconstruction work throughout the city does not make it easier.  Fredrik’s mountain bike is for sure more fit for Moscow than my pink beauty but I am still happy with my choice!

Rose & Exclusive Cars in the Sun!

Even though not as good weather as in Sweden, the sun was still shining and we had our first glass of rosé at Cork.  A new place with a great wine list, including Rosé  wine from Provence, exactly how I like it!  Fredrik was very happy with the front row view of all exclusive cars passing by! Porsche, Rolls Roys, Bentley, you name it. There is for sure a lot of money in this city!

Indian Heaven! – Best Restaurants in Moscow – Indian food in Moscow

We tend to  always end up in Patriarshi – our favorite Moscow neighborhood – in one way or another during the weekends. This time we came by bike and found the smallest Indian Heaven (based on recommendation from my private Moscow guide @olgaringquist). Entering this place is like entering an Indian home. You have to take your shoes off and you are guided to your small table or place in the windows by a friendly Indian guy.  The place is very small with space for around 10-15 guests and you basically eat in the middle of the kitchen, among  pots, pans and meals being prepared . The design, staff and atmosphere quickly sweeps you away to a colorful country in the east and to make the experience even more exciting, there is no menu. You get a three course based on what is cooked in the house today and you can eat as much as you want as the refill is unlimited. This is by far the coolest, cutest and most authentic Indian place or even restaurant I have been too. Already looking forward to our next visit!
